Pair of George IV (1823) basting spoons in superb condition. Made of heavy gauge silver weighing 264gms or 8.5ozt. Manufactured by London master-silversmiths, William Eley and William Fearn - noted for the quality of their'flatware'. The style of the basting spoons is in the'Old English' pattern. This simple pattern looks particularly fine when used with heavy gauge silver, as is the case.
The engraved crests are very well executed, with no detail either rubbed or obscured. The hallmarks are very well stamped and not obscured in any way. However, the stamps are rather small which does make reading the images a little difficult. Please be assured that the quality is perfect. Weight: 264gms / 8.5ozt.
